UK stocks stepped higher Monday, with miners helping to leading the way up as the pound fell following comments from Prime Minister Theresa May that signaled a “hard Brexit.”

The FTSE 100 rose 0.3% to 7,231.90, putting the benchmark on track for its 10th winning session in a row and another record close.
