FTSE 100 rises as AstraZeneca rallies and pound stalls

UK stocks were higher Friday, putting British blue chips on track for a winning week, as drug maker AstraZeneca shares gained and the pound fell, MarketWatch reports.

The FTSE 100 index was up 0.3% at 7,404.53, with consumer services and utility stocks among the advancers. But basic materials and industrial shares were lower.
