FTSE4Good welcomes 37 companies

A final review of prospective participants in FTSE4Good, the socially responsible indices run by FTSE, the UK index provider, has led to the admission of 37 companies plus new participants in Europe.

Additions of companies based in Europe include Tesco, Royal Bank of Scotland, Total Fina Elf, Old Mutual, Norsk Hydro and Amvescap. There have been no deletions, except on the grounds of shrinking size. The newly-listed London Stock Exchange has also been included in the index, as well as fast shrinking Marconi.
