FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried stole funds then misled jury, prosecutor claims as trial nears end

Prosecutors began their final pitch to the jury that will decide the fate of Sam Bankman-Fried by highlighting the thousands of people who lost billions of dollars in the collapse of crypto exchange FTX.

Almost a year ago, thousands of people were trying to withdraw their investments, their savings and nest eggs from the once flourishing crypto exchange, assistant US asttorney Nicolas Roos told jurors in his closing argument 1 November.
