An influential lobby group for fund managers has slammed a UK government decision to allow certain retail investment funds to remain exempt from onerous performance disclosure rules until 2026.

Ian Sayers, the chief executive of the Association of Investment Companies, a trade body representing closed-ended funds, said the group was "beyond frustrated" by the UK Treasury's decision.
