Fund managers push against merging transaction costs into fund fees

UK fund managers are arguing against the idea of incorporating transaction costs directly into the fees they charge investors, as pressure mounts from regulators over the vexed issue of fund charges.

The Investment Association, which represents 200 fund managers with £5 trillion under management between them, is preparing evidence to submit to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Department for Work and Pensions as they prepare proposals for the disclosure of transaction costs within pension schemes.
