European fund managers are optimistic about the prospects for the markets of the 10 prospective new members of the European Union, according to Morningstar, the fund rating and research firm.

Some 81% of managers surveyed by Morningstar expect the 10 Central and Eastern European countries to have a positive or very positive effect on their stock markets and 78% say it will be positive or very positive for their bond markets.
