Fund managers query Mercer's role in Attica appointment

Fund managers offering multi-manager products have questioned the role played by William M Mercer, the UK investment consultant, in advising the Alfred McAlpine pension scheme to appoint Attica.

The £240m (€391m) scheme followed Mercer's advice and chose Attica to run a £15m Japanese and Far Eastern mandate on a multi-manager basis (eFinancialNews.com, April 10).
