Galley stands by her staff in Unilever case

Carol Galley, the co-head of the London operation of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and a key witness for the defence in the Unilever v MLIM trial, defended the fund manager responsible for the Unilever portfolio, Alistair Lennard.

The Unilever Superannuation Fund is suing MLIM, previously known as Mercury Asset Management, for £130m (€211m) for negligently taking too much risk when managing £1bn for it in 1997 and 1998.
