GAM founder Gilbert de Botton dies aged 66

Gilbert de Botton, founder of Global Asset Management (GAM) and chairman of the specialist fund manager's UK office since GAM was bought by UBS last year, died unexpectedly of a heart attack in France on Sunday morning, aged 66.

GAM staff are said to be shocked and saddened. Details of de Botton's funeral have not been finalised.
