Global Asset Management (GAM), an autonomous business area within UBS Asset Management Division, has gone live with a messaging solution developed by HelioGraph, in readiness for the new Swift messages. Previously, GAM had developed in-house Visual Basic applications, FTP scripts and had used an alternative middleware solution for its messaging architecture. The upgrade will also give GAM, which manages $12bn (&euro13.6bn) by allowing established fund managers freedom to manage portfolios, FIX and XML capabilities.
