Gartmore Investment Management and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Securities (DrKW) have become the first institutions to use the SwiftNet FIX service for communicating FIX allocations to each other in live production.

The FIX protocol is a messaging standard developed specifically for the real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions. The SwiftNet FIX service provides firms with access to multiple trading partners worldwide through a single FIX connection, based on Swift's new interactive, IP-based network.
