Gartmore is rolling out its flagship equity income Cautious Managed Fund to institutional clients for the first time, demonstrating the resurgence in appetite for balanced mandates among UK pension funds.

The fund, which is run by Chris Burvill, head of equity income at Gartmore, can invest up to 60% of the total portfolio in equities with the rest invested in bonds.
