UK fund manager Gartmore Investment Management has boosted its resources for managing Japanese equities by appointing Justin Bowles as head of research and adding two other analysts to its research team.
By July the number of analysts in the team, which is based in Tokyo, will have increased to four from one at the start of the year. Christiane Pratsch, deputy head of research, said: "The appointments complete the sector coverage that has been rolled out across the globe. We hope this enhances our global investment process."
