Goldman Sachs’ former president Gary Cohn is donating to charities sponsored by his ex-employer instead of handing over $10m the bank wanted to claw back to fund repayments for 1MDB fines.

The donation marks the latest development of a drawn-out back-and-forth between the bank and Cohn, who initially refused to return the money to Goldman Sachs.
