Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has taken the unusual step of appointing a single head of sovereign wealth funds for all of its asset management firms.
Gary Smith, formerly global head of official institutions at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, has been named head of sovereign wealth funds and official institutions at Baring Asset Management, Babson Capital and OFI Global Asset Management, effective immediately.
