For Sir Gavin Williamson, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that the Reform UK candidate selected to contest Williamson’s parliamentary seat has suddenly stepped down. That makes it more likely that the former cabinet minister will be one of the (perhaps very few) Tory MPs who will survive the election.
