Gazprom frustrates bankers with Eurobond decision

Gazprom, Russia's largest oil and gas group, has cancelled plans for its return to the international bond market this year, just ahead of the deal's scheduled launch.

The company has decided to put back the bond issue to as late as next summer. The decision has frustrated bankers at Credit Suisse First Boston and Salomon Smith Barney, who have been waiting for the final go ahead on the landmark deal since they were mandated back in February.
