Gazprom secures $200m loan as Russian sentiment improves

Gazprom, the world's largest gas company, attained attractive terms on a new $200m (€199.1m) syndicated loan with ABN Amro and DePfa Bank thanks partially to the improvement in Russia's creditworthiness.

The new credit facility has a two-year structure, which is longer than the company's previous borrowings. Bankers said the new deal reflected a greater willingness among foreign companies to lend money to Russian borrowers as the nation's economy improves.
