Regulators have hit the pause button on a slew of reforms

Regulators have been forced to put a raft of updates on hold as the general election throws the timing of a number of key City reforms up in the air.

Financial and other watchdogs have traditionally imposed a pre-election silence policy to avoid the appearance of partisanship during campaigning.
