Merrill Lynch has made it into the top 10 of the European equity capital markets bookrunner league table for the first half of the year with the €654m ($751m) sale of its own stake in Generali, the Italian insurer.
Merrill is the vendor of the 2.35% stake in Generali, according to Dealogic, the investment banking research firm. The sale has moved Merrill from 15th place in Dealogic's European ECM league table to 10th, just four days before the end of the quarter.
