Tim Ryan, a former head of AllianceBernstein's London operations, has underlined his new role as one of the key leaders at Italian insurer Generali by becoming chairman of its asset management division, in addition to group investments chief.

In a statement today, Generali Investments said Ryan had been named chairman of the board for a two-year stint, while CEO Santo Borsellino has been reapproved for another three years.
