George Soros: EU must look to perpetual bonds to survive coronavirus

The billionaire is calling for the EU to issue debt with no end date

Billionaire George Soros has suggested Europe issues bonds that would never have to be repaid – so-called “perpetual bonds” – in order to weather the unprecedented costs of the coronavirus crisis.

In a Q&A session sent to reporters, Soros said that the economic damage caused by the pandemic will last longer than people think.
