German funds' legal champion stands down

One of the German asset management association's three senior directors is to step down at the end of 2009, it was announced yesterday, drawing to a close a 35-year career at the organisation.

Rüdiger Päsler has worked for the Bundesverband Investment und Asset Management, or BVI, since 1974 when he joined as a tax and legal consultant. He was appointed a managing-director in 1987.
