German institutions claim victory on pensions reform

A campaign by German asset management and mutual fund companies to force the German government to revise its proposed pensions reforms has paid off after the government gave way on several central issues.

The final draft of the pensions reforms published this week has abolished the proposed cap on the allocation of the funds to 50% in equities, and boosted the maximum non-eurozone allocation to 30% from 20%.
