Almost exactly eight years on from being branded “locusts”, a host of German private equity firms are raising funds to invest in the country’s Mittelstand market.

Local mid-market firms Brockhaus Private Equity, Aheim Capital, ViewPoint Capital Partners and Berenberg Private Equity are all looking to raise fresh capital with each firm seeking at least €125m.
