Klaus-Dieter Scheurle, president of Germany's telecommunications regulator, is to join Credit Suisse First Boston as an investment banker in January.

He will join the bank's Frankfurt office as a managing director and senior adviser in the telecoms team, working with European telecoms heads David Wheeler and David Diwik.
