Germany's oldest private equity house looks to external investors

Deutsche Beteiligungs, the oldest private equity firm in Germany that was spun-out from Deutsche Bank in 1985, has gone outside its shareholder base for fundraising for the first time in its history.

Eleven investors from insurance companies, family groups and fund of funds have committed €120m ($117m) on the first closing of the mid-market buy-out firm's fourth fund.
