Watching a group of climate protestors make their point at the Bankers and Merchants Dinner at Mansion House in June, one could be forgiven for thinking that environmentalists and capitalists are not only opposed, but becoming more so.
This, I believe, is incorrect. From my vantage point of listening to the markets, we may well be in the early throes of a paradigm shift. Capitalism may learn to embrace the environmental, social and governance movement with as much vigour as the internet revolution in the late 1990s, or technology after the financial crisis.
