Chi-X Australia, a fledgling exchange that has brought competitive forces to Australian share trading over the past 18 months, has appointed a former director at high-frequency trading specialist Getco as its new chief executive

John Fildes will join Chi-X Australia this month, taking on the chief executive role on May 1, according to a statement from the company today.
