Goldman Sachs has shuffled the leadership of its market-leading mergers and acquisitions business, promoting European head of M&A Gilberto Pozzi to a global role alongside two other bankers.

Pozzi will step up from his current role running European M&A to co-run the global M&A unit alongside Michael Carr, who stepped up yesterday from his role as head of M&A in the Americas, and existing co-head of global M&A Gregg Lemkau.
