GL Trade, a provider of equities trading software and data, has hired a new chief executive and a new sales director, having lost both in the past few months.

Patrick Tessier, formerly the director of European listed derivatives for Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), is now chief executive for London and northern Europe. He replaces Malcolm Donaldson, who left GL Trade in February. Tessier will be responsible for the positioning of GL Trade solutions in the marketplace and managing its 130 staff.
