Glass ceiling remains in private equity

Private equity remains a strongly male-dominated industry in Europe, according to research by Private Equity News, which shows women account for an average of only 13% of the workforce even at the five firms with the highest number of female employers.

UK private equity firm Terra Firma, which employs 16 female professionals including Julie Williamson, has the highest percentage of women with 21%, while women account for 18% of executives at PAI and 14% at Cinven.
