Gleacher & Company Securities, the US broker-dealer, has appointed Michael Lanigan as a managing director in the Chicago office and David Philbin as a director in the New York City office. Lanigan joins as head of mortgage backed securities and rates sales for the Chicago office, having previously worked as executive director of MBS sales at Mizuho Securities USA. Philbin previously worked at Tradition Asiel Securities as a securities broker.
