Almost a third of fixed income investors plan to increase their exposure to China’s bond market over the next three years — and US investors are the keenest, despite the trade dispute between the two countries.

China’s $4.4tn government bond market is the world’s third largest, behind the US and Japan. But until recently, access for overseas investors was restricted and the country did not form part of global bond indices.
