Global liquidity boosts Ashmore assets

Long-only fund fuels BlueBay growth

Assets under management at London-listed emerging markets manager Ashmore rose by 9% in the first quarter of this year, supported by global liquidity and strong fundamentals in developing markets.

Total assets rose from $26.8bn (€19.8bn) to $29.2bn. Ashmore manages 40 funds across four investment themes: a global US dollar fund investing in sovereign bonds but with a growing corporate debt element, a local currencies fund, a special situations fund investing in distressed debt private equity opportunities and an emerging markets equities fund.
