Global markets stabilise, after two days of oil-driven turbulence

Futures linked to the S&P 500 rise, suggesting US shares could gain

Futures linked to the S&P 500 rose 0.8% early Wednesday, suggesting US shares could gain. Regional equity indexes were mixed. The benchmark Stoxx Europe 600 index advanced 0.9%, led higher by Italian and German stocks.
