GMO scoops £100m Tower Hamlets mandate

GMO, the US value manager, has won a £100m (€144m) mandate to run global equities for the £460m pension scheme of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Jim Ricketts, finance director at Tower Hamlets said the scheme had reviewed its equity limits with actuarial consultant Hymans Robertson and decided it could increase investment risk in the fund from 55% to 70%.
