Goldman and CSFB advise on €2bn General Electric deal

Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse First Boston's (CSFB's) advisory roles on General Electric Company's (GE) latest acquisition come as banks scramble to seal deals in time for inclusion in the 2002 league tables.

The banks are advising on GE's €2bn ($2bn) acquisition of Instrumentarium, the Finnish medical equipment group. Goldman is working for GE's subsidiary GE Medical Systems and CSFB is advising Instrumentarium.
