Goldman Sachs has chosen a stellar year in leveraged finance to reshuffle its senior management team responsible for the business.

John Townsend, who along with David Solomon, has piloted Goldman's leveraged loan and high-yield bond business since John Winkelreid moved to London, is moving on. Townsend will take up a new position co-ordinating all the business Goldman does with venture capitalists.
