Goldman Sachs has launched its first deal as a bookrunner of an equity capital markets deal for France Télécom as it sells €830m ($892m) of shares with ABN Amro Rothschild and BNP Paribas.
The firm has traditionally been regarded as the international house bank of Deutsche Telekom with Morgan Stanley performing the same role for France Télécom. However, the two banks recently teamed up as joint bookrunners of Deutsche Telekom's €2.3bn mandatory convertible in February.
