Goldman Sachs is handing out face masks to employees still required to come into its UK headquarters, as investment banks in the City look to support office-essential staff amid an exodus from London’s financial centre.

The US investment bank said that staff who still needed to be in the office due to the “nature of their roles” will now be issued face masks “across London and our regional offices from today”, according to a 19 March internal memo to the European, Middle East and African region. The memo was seen by Financial News.
