Goldman Sachs has hired Alasdair Warren, a managing director in Citigroup's equity capital markets group and a co-founder of private equity boutique nCoTec Ventures.

A senior banking source said Warren has been hired to fill a gap in equity capital markets client coverage, resulting from last year's promotion of Tim Bunting, co-global head of ECM, to vice-chairman of Goldman's European executive office.
