Endesa adds Lehman to four-bank defence force

Goldman Sachs is missing from the line-up of banks advising on Europe's largest takeover this year.

Banking sources confirmed today that Endesa, the Spanish utility which last night rejected a €22.7bn ($28bn) hostile bid from rival Gas Natural, has hired Citigroup, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.
