Goldman poaches chemicals analysts from Bear Stearns

Goldman Sachs, the US investment bank, has poached two chemical analysts from rival Bear Stearns, as part of its plan to rebuild its chemicals team and extend coverage of the sector.

Jonathan Tyler has joined Goldman in London as a replacement for Jackie Ashurst, who left last year. Tyler will head up the chemicals research team, which now numbers three, under the auspices of Mark Tracey, head of the healthcare and chemicals team. Before joining Bear Stearns in 1999, Tyler worked at Prudential Portfolio Managers.
