Goldman Sachs has created a new layer of senior management with the appointment of three vice-chairmen.
The three are Lloyd Blankfein, Robert Steel and Robert Kaplan. They will report to John Thain and John Thornton, co-presidents and co-chief operating officers who run the firm along with Hank Paulson, chairman and chief executive.
