Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are pushing to make more money fundraising for private companies, setting ambitious revenue targets and recruiting more bankers who specialise in the business.

The two US investment banks are trying to replace lost revenues from a lack of public-market listings in Europe, by boosting their work for private companies in high-growth sectors such as technology, fintech and biotech.
