David Solomon, chief executive of Goldman Sachs, has urged staff to "step back and reflect" on a US presidential election he says is "different than anything we have witnessed before".

As the US presidential election remains on a knife edge amid legal challenges from current President Donald Trump, Solomon said that although many Goldman staff are "anxious" and "craving clarity", employees should "allow the time required for the democratic process to unfold".
