Goldman Sachs chooses Blankfein to replace Hurst

Lloyd Blankfein, who was appointed as one of Goldman Sachs' three vice-chairmen last year, has been nominated to replace Robert Hurst on the bank's board.

The bank created a new layer of senior management in March last year with the promotion of Blankfein, Robert Steel and Robert Kaplan to vice-chairmen.
