Goldman Sachs has recruited a UK corporate broking veteran as part of its expansion efforts in this uniquely British corner of investment banking.

The Wall Street firm has hired Bertie Whitehead as a managing director from the corporate broking team at Barclays. He will join in London in August, according to a spokesman for the Goldman Sachs.
